Getting Started With Avon

New Reps usually wonder how to get started and this article is geared towards those reps. You should have gotten some brochures to help start off your first and second campaigns. You also should have received a few "Let's Talk" order books as well as some other items.

Your AVON store front is your brochure. You need to pass them out to as many people possible. Having a few brochures with you everywhere you go is a great idea. Once you receive orders you can log them into your "Let's Talk" order book which comes with carbon paper backing for fast duplication. You will calculate the order and add in the $0.75 processing fee and tax.

The Representative Processing Schedule (RPS) tells you when each campaign starts, when to submit your order and when that order is shipped. You can find quick access to your RPS via Beauty Biz Networks Tools page.

A common question among new Avon Reps is "How do I get paid?" and "When does AVON send my money?". The answers to these are simple, Avon does not pay you. So never expect to receive a check from AVON. You instead collect payment from your customers and pay AVON what you owe. The difference between what you own (cost of your order) and what you collected (moneys collected) is your profit to keep. (Money Collected) - (Cost of order) = Profit

Durning your first four campaigns as a new rep you will make a 50% profit on all Core items. Core items are symbolised by a diamond and are normally 20%. After the four campaigns you will need to find your earnings level for each campaign sells. You can find an Earnings Chart on Beauty Biz Network's Homepage. Budgeting yourself is imkportant as you can easly spend up all you profit on product and marketing materials.

The AVON credit system allows you to pay for your customers orders after they arrive and you have collected payment. You should pay AVON on time or before your next order is due. if you aquire a debt with AVON they hold your order until it is paid. AVON may also put you under credit review if you have a large order and require you to pay a deposit prior to the order being shipped.

As a rule of thumb it is beat to speak with your Unit or District Leader to answer any questions.
